Countdown to Christmas - Day 15

Day 15: Christmas Conversations in the Office

15.jpg

The office water cooler conversations this year have probably been more of a social minefield than ever before.

After all we’ve had a closely fought EU referendum, a new Prime Minister, and Donald Duck, sorry Trump, is in the White House.

With topics like that it has been best to stay clear of the water cooler altogether.

It should though be a safer place in the run-up to Christmas, but like preparing for the wider questions which might come up in a media interview, you need to do your preparation first.

So make sure you have an opinion on who won the Christmas advert battle; what the must have toy is this year; when it is acceptable to put up your Christmas tree; and whether it is really necessary to serve Brussel sprouts.

We’d love to hear your tales of when your media skills have saved the day or helped you out of a potentially awkward situation in your personal life. Let us know on adam@mediafirst.co.uk
